With each passing year, it appears that performance cars also carry with them a large physical size; for what it’s worth, a Nissan GTR or Jaguar F-Type is about 76 inches wide, a Lamborghini Aventador about 80, which AFAIK, is the same as a Range Rover!
The S2000 is about 68 inches wide, which is a nice size, about the same as a VW GTI. Is this the holy grail? Are there any other cars that could offer more thrills/HP/0-60 time in a smaller package? (Closest competitors I guess on both sides would be the smaller but less powerful Miata, and the 4 inches wider but 360HP Audi TTRS)
What else is out there that has a higher HP-per-inch ratio if you will? (I’m referring to cars in their unmodified state; otherwise everyone will just post Minis with Hayabusa engines, haha…)

62” wide, 122” long, 310hp, 0-60 in 2.8 seconds.
No pics because Kinja doesn’t like me, but we all know what a Caterham looks like

Renaultsport Cars, particularly the ones from the early 2000s.
Clio 182
Meganne 225 Trophy
They’re French so they are inherently dinky and they are Renaultsports so they’re stupidly fast.
I want one badly actually no I don’t.
I want them both.

Should have posted the S2000 dimensions for reference:
L: 4,117 mm (162 in) x W: 1,750 mm (68.9 in) x H: 1,288 mm (51 in)
